04.09.2002 – Tired of all those gloating predictions about computer superiority? Well, contrary to popular lore they have not caught up with mankind intellectually, says the author of this premium rant in the Toronto Star. "It is true that in 1997 a computer named Deep Blue beat chess master Gary Kasparov. But championship chess has always been for idiot savants and borderline psychotics, anyway." Hmmm.
